So, who are you?
I’m Kate Jeremiah, a Melbourne freelance copywriter and editor.
After working in marketing, communications and events in Australia and the UK for more than 10 years, I followed my passion for writing and small business by starting a freelance copywriting business.
In my previous career, I worked in publishing, fashion, dairy, finance, mortgages, education and childcare. So you could say I've had some pretty diverse experience.
In case you're interested, I have a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from RMIT University. I've also completed some of Australia's best copywriting and feature writing courses at Deakin University, The Australian Writers’ Centre and Copywrite Matters.

How can you help me?
I can write compelling copy for just about anything your business needs. This includes copywriting for websites, blogs, flyers, ads, brochures, emails, newsletters, sponsorship proposals, social media, content marketing, press releases, profiles, grants and more.
I offer proofreading and editing services, too. This is a great option if you've written something you'd like a professional to perfect. Typos are never a good look. It's also an affordable service for small businesses.

Where are you based?
I’m a copywriter in Melbourne, but I’ve worked with clients from Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, China and more. That’s one of the best things about my job!
Can we meet?
Face-to-face meetings aren't needed for most copywriting projects.
Once you’ve signed the project proposal, we’ll arrange a time to discuss your project brief over the phone.
But if you're desperate to meet and based in Melbourne, we can make this happen.
Who do you work with?
As a freelance copywriter, it's my job to write persuasively for any audience, business or purpose.
To do this, I'll spend time getting to know your business, audience and industry before your copywriting project kicks off. How? By speaking to you and doing lots of research.
To give you an idea of how diverse my skill set is, I’ve recently written content on food, wine, digital marketing, furniture, design, cleaning, kindergartens, childcare, parenting, early childhood education, mental health, fashion, hairdressing, payment solutions, fitness, technology, mortgages, and real estate.
What do you charge?
I charge by the project, not by the hour.
I can give you a quote as soon as we confirm what you're after.
My pricing is pretty much smack-bang in the middle for a professional Melbourne copywriter.
Can you find cheaper copywriters on sites such as Upwork and Airtasker? Sure. But will they produce the same quality content? Probably not.

What does that price include?
I’ll give you a detailed breakdown in your project proposal.
To give you an idea, my copywriting and business writing services include a thorough phone briefing, research, writing, proofing by a second editor and two rounds of changes.
Do you offer discounts for product bundles or retainer agreements?
I sure do.

Will I need to pay a deposit?
Yep. I’ll ask you to pay a 50% commencement fee once you’ve signed the project proposal, which will enable me to schedule your project.
If your project is $500 or under, you'll need to pay 100% upfront.
Your commencement invoice is due before the project kicks off. You'll need to pay the rest within one week of the project completion.
How long will it take to write my copy?
That depends on the projects I already have on the go and your copywriting project needs.
I’m often booked out a month in advance. I recommend getting in touch so I can give you an accurate lead time.

Sure. Once you've paid the final invoice, you own the copy. This means you’re free to do whatever you like with it.
